The Farmhouse History

The story of the Barn & Farmhouse dates back to the 18th century.

Listed on the New Hampshire State Register of Historic Places, the antique farmhouse and barn were built by Corporal Dudley Gilman ca. 1785 . Dudley Gilman fought at the Battle of Bennington in 1777. A Revolutionary War brown bess bayonet thought to have belonged to the patriot was discovered in the house after it was purchased by the current owners in 1918.

Proudly listed on New Hampshire State Register of Historic Places

The property abuts the Laconia city line, and also lies at the northeast end of a long wildlife corridor that extends into the center of the Town of Belmont.
